Do we need to have another warehouse? How do we decide on the best location? What would the potential impact be to open a new depot or close an existing one? Get
months of practical experience enhanced by expert coaching, in just a few
days, all without the risk of having to pay dearly for your mistakes! We
provide you with a unique opportunity to learn and apply the theory
in a realistic, but simulated environment.
As a member of the management team of your business, you will have
to develop your supply chain strategy and design your logistics network
accordingly, taking into account the realities of the broader economic
environment, the market dynamics, the characteristics of your field or
industry, your own company strengths and weaknesses and the actions of
your competition (which off course is represented by the other player
teams). You
will have to decide on the number and size of the depots in your supply
chain network.
You will have to close or open depots where required, determined by
centre-of-gravity analyses, and practically monitor the changes in stock
holding and transport costs.
Meanwhile you have to run the business, managing your supply chain
towards business success: showing a healthy profit and gaining market
share. The
truth is, learning by doing is
really the only road to insight. Most
important, you will gain confidence in making business decisions in high
stress situations – dealing with inadequate information, time
constraints and people dynamics.
You’ll experience the emotional involvement, the adrenaline of
competition and the disappointments and successes of your decisions.
And have a lot of fun doing it!
Importantly, you will be exposed to the knowledge and experience of Gerard de Villiers, an experienced supply chain strategist and logistician. He will facilitate the session, coach you, guide you and discuss pertinent issues. Who
should attend? Individuals
at middle management level from any industry would find this a valuable
learning experience. Join us for a highly realistic business simulation session, and experience the world class Insight Business Challenge. If you are interested, please complete the registration form and fax it to our offices as soon as possible. Please note that we are only able to accommodate a limited number of participants per session, since this is not a regular seminar, but a truly interactive, focused learning experience.
